Why Google Offered 300% Salary Hike to Retain Employees ?

The employee who was not related to AI , Machine Learning or Deep  Learning projects was offered the hike.
Google once 300% CTC Hike to its Employee. But Why? The story Begin when Employee switch the job for very nominal 30 % Hike and wanted to Leave google company in order to join New company. Now the big Question is why an Employee wanted to switch the job from Google and Where he wanted to Join?

The employee was planning to join Perplexity AI, and according to Perplexity AI  CEO Aravind Srinivas statement given to the Big Technology Podcast while talking about the limit to which big tech companies go to retain their employees.

Perplexity CEO said that this employee who received the salary hike of 300% was part of the ‘search team’ and  did not even have any direct involvement with its AI division.

A Breaking News has broken the floor   as Google CEO Sundar Pichai given Final warning to google employees for more and more job cuts as the company needs to make “tough choices” to create capacity for investments from future Prospective and Goals.

In an internal conference with   all Google employees, Sundar Pichai wrote, “We have ambitious goals and will be investing in our big priorities this year. The reality is that to create the capacity for this investment, we have to make tough choices.”

Google has  laid off over a thousands of its employees in various departments since January this Year. Sundar Pichai had already announced his plans to cut almost 12,000 jobs- 6% of its global workforce- earlier.

“I have some difficult news to share. We’ve decided to reduce our workforce by approximately 12,000 roles. We’ve already sent a separate email to employees in the US who are affected. In other countries, this process will take longer due to local laws and practices,” he said.
